3. General Information on Data Processing

The Scaut App and the Scaut Device have been designed to minimize the processing of personal data.

The Scaut App and the Scaut Device do not collect, store, sell, or use users' personal data or data relating to their devices for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes.

The Scaut App does not use tracking technologies, analytics tools, or personalized advertising.

4. Processing by the Scaut Device

The Scaut Device does not store personal data or information concerning user-related or personal activities.

Images captured with the Scaut Device are not permanently stored on the device. Images are transferred only to the display device on which the Scaut user interface or the Scaut App is used.

5. Processing by the Scaut App

The Scaut App does not process personal data for analytics, tracking, or advertising purposes.

Images captured with the Scaut Device are stored neither on the Scaut Device nor on servers operated by DocCheck Steam GmbH. Images are stored locally on the user’s device only if the user actively chooses to save them.

The Scaut App does not display advertisements and does not create user profiles.

6. Local Storage of Images

If users save images, those images are stored exclusively on their local devices.

DocCheck Steam GmbH has no access to locally stored images or content.

7. Responsibility of Users

Users are solely responsible for the capture, processing, storage, sharing, and deletion of images created with the Scaut Device.

Users must ensure compliance with all applicable data protection, professional, medical, and data security regulations. This applies in particular when processing personal data or health-related data of third parties.

8. Recipients of Personal Data

As the Scaut App and the Scaut Device generally do not involve the processing of personal data by DocCheck Steam GmbH, no personal data is disclosed to third parties.

9. Data Transfers to Third Countries

No transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA) is carried out by DocCheck Steam GmbH.

10. Rights of Data Subjects

Where personal data is processed in specific cases, data subjects have, in particular, the following rights under the GDPR:
